You tell Officer Jenny that you want to help. You get in the car and she heads after the fire trucks. You can't help but feel on edge, thinking about that dream. You pull the necklace out of your pocket, glancing at the two symbols.
"Hey, what's that?" Officer Jenny asks, "It looks valuable."
"I guess. I found it." you respond.
"Hmph, lucky find." she comments as the city comes into view. Smoke is rising into the air and a bright orange glow surrounds it. The car pulls to a stop near the fire trucks. There are afew trainers already there and using their water Pokémon to help fight the fire. You look down at Charmander almost feeling guilty. "It's a good thing you have that little fire PokY8mon." Officer Jenny says.
"It is?"
"Yes. Charmander are small and can take alot of heat. They're good for resue missions in a fire. You're teamed with me, let's go!"
"Right." you nod. You, Charmander, and Officer Jenny run down the street, looking for anyone trapped in the blaze. High up on the third floor of an apartment building you spot a young boy shouting and crying. "Up there!" you yell to Jenny.
"How are we going to get him out of there?!" she says, looking up.
"Charmander, char char." he jumps on your back, pointing up.
"I think your little Pokémon wants to give it a try." Jenny says.
"Alright, let's do it Charmander!" Heck, you're here already, no point in backing out now.
"You might need some help." she whistles, a Wartortle running up. "Wartortle, help out friend and this Charmander get to that little boy!"
"Tortle!" he salutes. You and the two Pokémon run into the fire, asking yourself for a brief moment why? You can here the boy screaming from the floor above as you run up the stairs to the second floor. There are burning rafters everywhere.
"Wartortle, use your watergun." you order. The turtle pkmn looks at you for a moment then blasts water down the hallway. Most of the flames are put out and you make a dash fot the stairs leading to the nexted floor. Once there it's worst than the floor below. There are fallen beams and burning wallpaper to add to the enferno. "HydroPump!" you yell.
"Tor.. tle..?"
"Don't tell me you haven't learned HydroPump! Okay, Water Gun!" Realing back the Wartortle agian shoots a stream of water through the hall. You can hear the little kid yelling for help from here. Finially you find him, the kid thrilled to see someone. With the boy sticking close behind you make a mad run back to the entrance. Wartortle and the little boy run out first. You're about to follow when there's a cracking about you. Looking up you see a rafter dislodge from the ceiling and come hurling towards you! You can't move, not like there's anywhere to jump. You cover your head as the beam smashing into the floor! "What?" you look up as Charmander lands on the ground after releasing a massive Flamethrower and throwing the beam of coarse! "Charmander!" You say happily. You run out of the building, Jenny commeding you on a good job.
The nexted day Jenny tells you that there is a long path up ahead and it's a good place to do training. You head out of town in that direction. Soon enough you find the trail she mentioned, only one problem. It splits to the left and right. Which one did she mean?
